Situated in rural Lanarkshire within the picturesque Clyde valley, on the A71 just of junction 8 of the M74. Purchased by Goldsmith Leisure Ltd in July 2004 the hotel has gone from strength to strength with some major improvements and redecoration both inside and out. However 2006 is going to be a very exciting year for the Shawlands Hotel and surrounding communities as we begin a major investment programme. With a change of name planned and plans to more than double in size, offering banqueting and conference suites of exceptional quality and standards, a large restaurant and carvery and the addition of executive bedrooms and suites, we aim to bring our customers the ultimate in hospitality.

At present the hotel offers two well stocked bars Shawlands bar offers a relaxed and informal atmosphere with an open log fire and a warm welcome to all, a traditional meeting place popular with the locals, with live entertainment on offer from some of Scotland’s best talent every Saturday night and karaoke for those budding pop stars every Sunday.

The lounge bar has an informal ambiance, making it ideal for a quiet meal or relaxing drink with friends.

The newly refurbished Lewis Restaurant offers the perfect setting to sample from our extensive selection of mouth watering dishes on offer.

Also presently available the McMillan suite can comfortably cater for any private function from weddings to birthday parties, conferences to christenings with packages available to suit every occasion
